Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. The actress did not go on to consider a career in acting until after she had reached adulthood because her parents were worried about the detrimental effects that stress could have. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she moved from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University moved into New York in search of acting roles on television. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness brought her back to California in search of theater jobs. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie with her in 2015. Perry played nine roles in The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC political drama Scandal, starring her dad. The actress also portrayed the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The role was offered to her in an audition that was open despite being connected to the character.
